Designer Series Paper Cards

Did you know, you can make 3 cards with one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP? These awesome fun folded cards were CASed (copy and shared) from Julie Davison.

Dimensions:

12 x 4 dsp, scored 5 1/2 and 11

Be sure to check which way your card will fold so that you don’t score wrong end, causing patter to be upside down

Banner is 3 1/2 x 1

Circle- I used 2 1/4 and 2nd to smallest stitched circle (depending on sentiment)

3 1/2 x 5 Basic White for inside piece

“Triangle Card” technique

I used a piece of designer paper that measured 4 x 5 1/4
I cut the piece from opposite corners
(Used washi tape to hold the 2 halves together
Then cut diagonal the other way.
Flip 2 of the pieces
Adhere evenly on a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base.

STOP HOARDING DSP

This was one of our mystery stamp nights, compliments to Deb Snyder. A great way to not hoard DSP.

 1) 4 different patterns of Designer Series Paper from one package cut: 4” x 2 1/2”

[Pattern should be in “portrait mode”, rather than “landscape mode” so images aren’t upside down.]

2) 5 pieces of card stock (match a color in the DSP) cut: 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”

3) 4 pieces of a different color card stock (match a color in the DSP) cut: 4 1/2” x 3”

4) 5 pieces of Whisper White or Very Vanilla card stock – whichever best matches your DSP – a) Cutall5: 51/2”x41/4”

b) On 4 of your 5 pieces, score the long side in half at 2 3⁄4”; Leave 1 piece not scored

5) 4 pieces of ribbon, each cut at 7” long – color should be either same color as #3 card stock or same color as chosen ink

6) Any ONE of these punches: Everyday Label, Timeless Label, Tailored Tag, Story Label, Pretty Label

7) Stamp set that has a GREETING (appropriate for outside of a card, any theme) THAT FITS INSIDE ONE OF THE ABOVE PUNCHED SHAPES. [Optional: you may also wish to have a coordinating INSIDE GREETING to stamp inside your card or you may leave it blank inside.]

8) Ink pad in either black or a color that matches/coordinates with your chosen DSP

9) Acrylic block for greeting stamps, dimensionals, your adhesive of choice, bone folder and either glue dots or regular scotch tape

Kangaroo & Company

Kangaroo & Company is a must have, for any occasion. I put a piece of tape over the part of the sentiment I didn’t want to stamp. Trick is, don’t forget to remove the tape! The designer paper is from a free pack of part you get for becoming a demo during Sale-A-Bration.
